Yemi OKE

Dr. Yemi Oke had his LL.M and PhD degrees from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, Canada; LL.B from University of Ilorin, Nigeria; B.L. from the Nigerian Law School, Abuja. He specializes in ‘Energy, Natural Resources and Environmental Law. His practice interest also extends to Global Corporate Law and Commercial Litigation. He was at various times in the course of his legal career the ‘Best Performance Award Winner, Department of Public Law University of Ilorin, Nigeria; Best Performance Award Winner, Department of Private and Property Law and was also awarded several prizes in other law subjects in the same University. For his LL.M he was awarded the prestigious ‘York University Scholarship for Academic Distinctions’ and ‘Peter W. Hogg Award’ (for exceptional students with demonstrable leadership potentials) at the Osgoode Hall Law School, Canada. He was also awarded the ‘Willard Z. Estey Fellowship for Research and Teaching Excellence’ among other scholarships/fellowships by the same school. He has extensive international consultancy services experience. He was also at various times counsel in leading law firms in Nigeria including Chief Rotimi Williams’ Chambers, Babalakin & Co, Olaniwun Ajayi and KPMG professional services. In the course of his graduate studies, he also taught in York University and Ryerson University both in Ontario, Canada.

 Kolade David ALABI
Kolade obtained his LL.B degree from the Lagos State University and was called to the Nigerian Bar. He is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management and Institute of Chartered Mediators/Conciliators. He was the Assistant Chief Controller (Administration and Legal Services) at Arab Contractors (O.A.O.) Nigeria Limited which position he held until he joined MJS Partners. Kolade is a widely experienced legal practitioner and consultant and his expertise cuts across areas of Corporate Law, Arbitration and Transnational Dispute Resolution, Labour Law, Insurance Law, Construction and Real Estate Law among others. He is a partner at MJS.

Daniel IDIBIA
Daniel obtained his LL.B degree from the University of Lagos and was called to the Nigerian Bar. He worked at the Ford Foundation for several years as a Consultant before setting up his own practice Idibia & Co Lagos, where he was the Managing Counsel before joining MJS Partners. Daniel has extensive law practice experience in the areas of Litigation and Transnational Dispute Resolution, Immigration Law, Corporate and Commercial Law, Energy Resources Law, Banking and Finance and Insolvency Law. He is a partner at MJS.

ASSOCIATE COUNSEL

Alfred WILLIAMS
Alfred obtained his LL.B (Hons) from the University of Jos, and was admitted into the Nigerian Bar. He has since been involved in active law practice with emphasis on corporate and commercial litigation, real estate and general legal consultancy. Over the years, Alfred has made quite significant and impressive appearances at all levels of the Nigerian judicial hierarchy, particularly at the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal. He is a senior associate at MJS.

Babajide AYOOLA
Jide is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (U.K.). He obtained his LL.B from University of Benin, Nigeria, and B.L. from the Nigerian Law School, Abuja. His practice areas include capital market operations; finance; company secretarial services, alternative dispute resolution, real estate and properties; energy and natural resources and mining. Jide is an associate at MJS.

Samson OZAH
Samson is a Counsel with MJS Partners. He obtained his LLB from the University of Benin, Nigeria and was admitted to the Nigerian Bar with a Second Class Upper Division. His areas of practice include Energy resources law, project finance and advisory support on regulatory matters.

Oluwatobi Adeyemi, OKE
Tobi acts as Environmental Specialist and Administrative Manager at MJS. He holds B.Sc degree in Environmental Sciences from University of Agriculture, Nigeria and M.Sc from Lakehead University, Thunder-bay, Ontario, Canada.

Peace CHUKWUMA
Peace is the practice administrator in Charge of all Secretariat matters in the firm.

Yinka IBRAHIM
Yinka is the Litigation Officer of the Law firm responsible for coordinating the litigation portfolio of the group.
